The Three Signs of Existence [tilakkhana] that are exhibited by all material things are impermanence [aniccam], suffering [dukkham] and not –self [anatta]
The habit of each person is different. Some have good habits, some don’t. I’d like to ask Luang Phaw what caused these good and bad habits.
Why do people have to pay homage? Ignorant!
People have to face a mixture of happiness and suffering throughout their lives. It is likely that the proportion of suffering usually exceeds happiness.
Actually a human has to face lot of problems in his/her life, which have to be solved with wisdom {Panna}. Therefore humans need wisdom.
When talking of our environment, the Lord Buddha meant both the people that surround us and the natural environment that surrounds us:
The final of the four Truths of the Noble Ones taught by the Lord Buddha was the Path to the Cessation of Suffering (or the Noble Eightfold Path) – the way to extinguish all suffering and attain Nirvana.
“(I count amongst my) noble disciples those who have the self-discipline to refrain from the Four Defilements of Action, who restrain themselves from the Four Forms of Bias and who do not indulge in the Six Directions…”
Before we proceed to the topic of ‘core values’ in detail, it is necessary to understand ‘erroneous core values’ which make one misunderstand life and the world.
